Review: Gateway C-142XL

Gateway C-142XL It can be hard to decide on a Tablet PC, what with the whirlwind of options that are out there, but at the same time we are fortunate to have such a fantastic selection at our hands.

One Tablet PC that I really wanted to review was this one, the Gateway C-142XL. It looked fantastic right from the get-go but I wanted to know more about the features and performance it had to offer.

Although the size of this Tablet PC is a bit larger than most others, with a fast dual-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, and discrete graphics, what this Tablet PC lacks in ultra-mobility it makes up for in power and precision.

Gateway C-142XL

This Tablet PC offers some very rugged features, including a solid magnesium lid that can definitely take a beating and a dual-alloy hinge that is firmly bolted to the magnesium chassis.

The audio on this Tablet PC is rather disappointing, especially when you consider how much it could offer if only given the chance. It does feature a terrific display however, a 14.1-inch glossy display is bright and colorful, and allows you to view multiple documents clear and precise.

Overall the Tablet functionality is supreme, and is great for writing. It is designed for those users who like to take digital notes and who do not mind not being able to hold the device easily in one arm as with most other Tablet PCs.

If you want a smooth Tablet experience, and a Tablet PC that offers a solid battery life and features a sleek and durable design, the Gateway C-142XL is the perfect choice.
