Getac introduced the E100 in early 2008 as a light, versatile rugged Tablet PC for field and customer service applications and since then has become incredibly favored by computer users around the world.

Lightweight at just over three pounds, there are a ton of respectable features offered by this device.

To discuss this Tablet PC, let’s begin by discussing the excellent display that is offered. featuring an 8.4″ TFT SVGA transmissive display, you can get a superbright 800 nit display as an option which improves daylight readability.

The touchscreen is another of the favorite features, making it easier and more convenient for the user to navigate and take advantage of the different functions.

The E100’s resistive touch panel controller communicates with the processor via USB and is very quick. Keep in mind that if you intend to operate the device primarily with your fingers, you have the option to set it so that the driver stops reporting points when movement is within a pre-defined range.

This way you will have no more mistakes of something hitting your touchscreen and have the device accidentally performing functions.

It is more than able to stand up to wear and tear regardless of the environment you are keeping it in, and it can definitely survive a fall.
