It looks like Asus might not be happy just redefining laptops for our generation and are looking to step up their game with a small, inexpensive tablet computer.
Currently there aren’t many details other than it will be a touchscreen version of their highly successful Eee lineup. The news comes from a quote that has Emmanuele Silanesu, the Australian national retail manager for Asus saying that they have been “obviously looking at other form factors rather than just a clamshell”.
I am not sure if this will happen in soon, but some people are hinting at an unveiling at Computex, an event only a little more than a week away.
This could mean huge shock waves in the tablet computing market if true, as Asus has done well with their Eee PC laptops over the last half a year.
